DATE
I entered the date and
got a message asking me to check the date.
The reason the program is asking you to check
the date is because it has detected that you are trying to put
in a date that is after today's date. The format required is dd/mm/yy
Your computer may be set up for US dates, eg mm/dd/yy , or your
computer may be set up with the wrong date.
1. To change date format go to:
My Computer / Change a setting / Change format of numbers,
dates, times / Regional Options - English (Aust)
2. To change the date go to:
My Computer / Change a setting / Change the date and
time
SNAP
SHOTS
I have played 12 games
but every time I go take a Snap Shot
I get the response that I have not played enough games.
Have you entered the games in chronological order?
To record a Snap Shot the program needs two conditions satisfied.
1. That you have played 12 games
2. That the first game entered is the oldest date.
If this is the reason for your problem, simply
change the date of the first round played to a date older than
any other date. You should then get the Snap Shots prompt.
RESOLUTION
When I start the application
it changes the resolution from 800x600
to 1024x768?
The reason the program changes your resolution
to 1024 x 768 is to enable you to see all the info on the screen.
The program changes your resolution back when you close it.
You can choose to select 1024 x 768 as your default
resolution. This will decrease the size of your fonts, but you
can increase your font size by going to
Start / Control Panel / Display / Settings / Advanced / General
/ DPI Setting 120 dpi.
Otherwise your only other option is to consider
an upgrade to a larger monitor.
MICROSOFT
OFFICE
When I click "View
/ Enter Stats" nothing happens.
This may occur if you have Microsoft
Office 2003 installed.
Go to our updates page, download the update, and this should remedy
your problem.
(updates)
Microsoft
Office wants to disable macros.
This is because the security level for macros
is set to high. Set the macro level to medium or low by opening
Microsoft Excel, Tools / Macros / Security.
My
formula bar in Microsoft Excel isn't
appearing when I open a spreadsheet. Where has it gone?
Your formula bar is hidden. To un-hide it,
open Microsoft Excel, click View on the top menu then select
Formula Bar. You can obtain the latest upgrade of TAP-IN Golf
Stats which will correct this problem. (updates)

INPUT
ERROR
I was entering my stats,
and received the message "Input Error".
This message is a warning only that you may have
entered your stats incorrectly.
Ignore this message when you hit par a 5 in two shots, or a par
4 in one shot.
ENTERING
STATS
Can
I set up TAP-In Golf Stats to keep stats for 9
holes?
Yes. Create a course with the same 9 holes repeated
on the front and back nine. When you enter your stats, enter them
twice - on the front and back nine.
How do I change the club
selection on the Score Sheet?
Go to "Game Plan" and make your club
selection for each hole.
Can
more than one player use the same
TAP-IN Golf Stats program on the one computer?
Yes. Simply create 2 courses, with different names,
eg Pebble Beach A & Pebble Beach B. Before viewing or entering
your stats, change the player name to your name, so that the messages
are addressed to you, and so that your name prints out on the
score sheet.
PRINTING
Is
it possible to print the graphs?
Yes. All you do is press the "Print Screen"
key on your keyboard, then paste this on to a Word document (Control
"V"), size accordingly, and print from there.
